Central Energy Trust Arena

The Central Energy Trust Arena is a leading multi-use sports and events facility that takes close to 3,000 bookings a year.

The Arena is home to 36 sporting codes and hosts a wide range of trade shows, exhibitions, weddings, dinners, conferences, meetings, seminars, festivals, concerts, and leisure events year-round. Central Energy Trust Arena is also home to Robertson Holden International Speedway and the Manawatu Rugby Union, plus our venues host a number of Bunnings NPC rugby games and national sports tournaments. The 18-hectare site is located just seven minutes walk from the CBD.

Venues

Arena 1

The Central Energy Trust Arena Stadium has capacity for up to 18,000 people.

Fly Palmy Arena (Arena 2)

Fly Palmy Arena is a purpose-built indoor sports and entertainment venue that can accommodate up to 5,000 people.

Arena 3

The Arena 3 indoor stadium is a great choice for medium sized exhibitions, functions, sporting events, dinners and convention plenaries.

B&M Centre (Arena 4)

The B&M Centre is one of New Zealand’s most extensive indoor sports facilities with courtside seating for up to 1300 people.

Arena 5

Arena 5 comprises two halls, one lounge and a gym that are used for a wide range of sporting and community activities.

Pit Lane

The upgraded pit lanes are part of the recent enhancements made to Arena under the 2018-2022 construction masterplan. These are dual purpose and able to host community events.

Arena 6

Arena 6 is also known as our back fields and is made up of one artificial turf and two highly regarded training and playing fields that complement the stadium’s main oval.
