The time has come to applaud the amazing shows, and the incredible people, that have created another phenomenal year of theatre. Many passionate volunteers have committed many hours of camaraderie and teamwork to create a magical experience. Congratulations to all the fine actors, technicians, artists, musicians and production team members whose work has truly shone this year.

Let’s celebrate the collective creativity of the many individuals who have come together, connected and collaborated to produce entertainment for their audiences. This year twenty-three productions across our region – Horowhenua, Tararua, Manawatū, and Palmerston North – have created their magic on stage allowing audiences to be transported into another time and space via their imaginations.

It’s now time now to celebrate the multi-talented achievement of the fourteen theatre groups who participated in this year’s Regional Theatre Awards: Act Three Productions, Dannevirke Theatre Company, Horowhenua Young Persons Entertainment, Feilding lIttle Theatre Players, Foxton Little Theatre, Levin Little Theatre Centrestage, Manawatū Summer Shakespeare, Manawatū Theatre Society, Manawatū Youth Theatre, Skeleton Crew, Shakespeare’s North Productions, Sunday Script Sessions, The Collective Theatre Group, and Thornestar Productions.

Put your hands together to celebrate the fantastic feats achieved by the many volunteers who generously contributed their time and talents to create the magic of theatre in our community. The Regional Theatre Awards will truly be a special celebratory time together for non-professional theatre groups that make our theatre community so diverse and rich.

Enjoy a night of live theatre, entertainment and music. Come along (in style) at what will be a first-class event. Dress to impress on Friday the 13th and join us in celebrating the creativity and commitment of our regional theatre community.
